The WALIPP Scholars at the Girls’ Academy are learning to give back. They recently participated during the after school enrichment life skills class in a service activity for cancer patients. The challenge was to come up with a selfless exercise to help others, and the young ladies decided to write support letters to women suffering with breast cancer. WALIPP has now have compiled dozens of letters and have will be providing them to some of Memorial Hermann Hospital’s cancer patients. Academics and service go hand in hand in this special project.
