Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) Meeting on October 18, 2011

All parents should participate in the Parent Teacher Organization as a part of their commitment to their students’ success. Meetings are brief and will provide an opportunity to grow with your scholar as we embark on the college preparation that will make a difference now and forever.

WALIPP-TSU recognizes that regular school attendance is a major component of academic success. WALIPP-TSU parents, teachers, and administrators collaborate to ensure that unexcused absences, tardiness and early departures from school are kept to a minimum. This is designed to:

Encourage full attendance by all scholars.

Maintain an adequate record-keeping system.

Identify patterns and develop effective intervention strategies to improve school attendance.

Ensure that school officials and parents know the daily whereabouts of every scholar.

Verify that individual scholars are complying with TEA Education Law relating to compulsory attendance.

Determine WALIPP-TSU average daily attendance for TEA purposes.
